ABOUT PERENNIAL WEST:
Perennial West started out as an online business selling vintage and secondhand clothing and accessories on Ebay and Poshmark. Trissta, also a full time Landscape Architect, started picking up items at the local thrift store and flipping them online to pay off student loans. She quickly fell in love with the practice of reselling and getting pieces into homes where they were loved and cherished, so she continued to build up her inventory and skills. Flash forward to 2023, with 2 of 3 thrift stores in Jackson Wy, closed, Trissta started looking for other options for secondhand shopping in the region and found that option was possibly... her. An opportunity came up to do an in-person market with local vintage stores Womenfolk and Spaghetti Westernish and she jumped on it. Trissta felt an instant connection to selling in person and connecting with the people who were taking the pieces she had collected overtime. Over the last 2 years, Trissta has been developing her own in-person business to sell vintage western clothing, cowboy boots, and more via pop ups in a renovated vintage 2 horse trailer and her 1969 Chevy pickup truck (baby blue, camper special, if you must know!).
The goal of Perennial West is to provide sustainable options for Western Goods in Jackson Wyoming by providing Vintage and Secondhand items for purchase for tourists and locals alike in the valley. Whether you're staying at a Dude Ranch for a week and need boots and jeans or if you're looking for that perfect Jackson Hole Rodeo look for the evening, we have your back and have done the hard work of selecting quality pieces for you!
ABOUT TRISSTA: Landscape Architect, Proponent of Sustainable Fashion, and a Generational Ranch Kid.
As a kid, Trissta grew up in at the cusp of the Boulder Mountain and the Escalante desert in Southern Utah. Growing up, she was kid number 5 of 6 total, and she often wore her sister's hand-me-downs, learned to love the music they listened to, and fell in love with horses, just like her older sisters. Her passion for second hand clothing grew from living off of small budgets while in college and finding trending items for way less than market price at the thrift stores. The thrill of the hunt was instilled in her as a young child and only grew as she got older.
Today, Trissta has her Master's in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon. When she was asked to choose a topic for her Master's Thesis, Trissta chose to stick with a trending scene that she grew up with: Homesteading. Micro Homesteads were gaining popularity and she knew that there were more roots to this trend than met the eye, so she pursued a historic study on the History of Homesteading and subsistent living off the land. This has stuck with Trissta and she has worked to develop her own specialty of Ranch and Farm Planning and Design, specifically geared towards homestead design. You could say frugality and sustainability have become a cornerstone in Trissta's life.
